The Academy of Music offers optional music examinations two times per year. These examinations ensure that our students are fully prepared to

3) Ontario Music Teachers Guild Membership
The Academy is a member of the Ontario Music Teacher's Guild, a non-profit organization dedicated to continually improving and enhancing the experience of learning music. Membership in the guild allows the school to participate in 2 annual music festivals per year designed to celebrate the art of music performance and allows students to gain performance experience and showcase their talents . We are the only school in Oakville with the OMTG membership.

8) Music Lesson Scholarships
Over $4000 in music lesson scholarships are awarded every year to children referred to us by the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Halton. The Children take private music lessons on the instrument t of their choice at no cost to them. Financial support for the Scholarship Program comes from the Academy of Music and the Oakville/Georgetown Celtic Fiddle Orchestras.
9) Fully stocked lesson studios
Our rooms are stocked with everything you need for lessons, including guitar amps, drum sets, keyboards, pianos and more. All you need to bring is your instrument. We have invested thousands of dollars on our studio to be sure we have everything you need to learn music effectively.
10) Regular performance opportunities
We have a minimum of 2 optional, low pressure concerts every year designed to give students a comfortable outlet to showcase their talents. They will feel great about themselves when the audience cheers in appreciation for the hard work they put into the performance.

The Academy of Music in Oakville is conveniently located on Speers Road at Fourth Line. Due to our central location our school is convenient for residents of Oakville as well as East Burlington.
Our Georgetown School is on Guelph Street just East of Tim Horton`s (across from Canadian Tire). Perfect for North and South Georgetown as well as Acton. Norval, and the rest of Halton Hills.
12) Month to Month lessons.
The Academy does not require full semester registration for lessons. Every student here is on a month-to-month basis.
