The Academy of Music offers summer camps for children aged 6 though to adults
All camps are from 9:00am - 4:00pm Monday through Friday.
Morning care
- 7:30 am $5 per day
Afternoon
care - 6:00 pm $5 per day
Both - $10 per day
Optional before and after care is available to all students.

create choreography? Would you like to be a part of a musical?
Then this is the perfect summer camp for you!
What campers can expect:
- Learn several performing arts skills like: voice
training, choreographed musical theatre, simple dance techniques, lyric and melody memorization, improvisation
development, and overall musical theatre styles.
- Help create routines with the help of the instructors
- Meet new people and build confidence in a fun social setting
- Perform with the glee choir at the end of the week
- Opportunities for vocal solos

Rock Band Summer Camp

Rock Band Camp

For Ages 8 to 16 Years
July 8 - 12, 2013
Learn how to play in real rock band! This one week rock band camp for guitar, drums, keyboard, and vocal is designed for kids that really want to learn about rock music and how all the instruments fit together to make make that awesome sound.
Students will:
- Learn at least 3 rock songs with a band
- Work on basic rock improvising (soloing) with the most popular blues and
rock chord progressions
- Work with instructors that not only play rock but have been teaching rock
band programs for more than 20 years
- Do a fun new craft every day, older kids are encouraged to help the younger
ones
- Perform their songs live in concert

Celtic Orchestra Camp

Celtic Orchestra Camp

For Ages 12+
July 15 - 19, 2013
Play violin, fiddle, piano, or guitar? Join us for a one week fiddle camp and learn how to play the same popular tunes that artists like Natalie MacMaster and Ashley MacIsaac play.
Students will:
- Learn a variety of Scottish, Irish, and Cape Breton tunes
- Learn how to tell the difference between types of traditional tunes like jigs, reels, and waltzes
- At least 2 extra Celtic Clinics with special guests
- Work on playing by ear and with sheet music
- Enhance their private lessons
- Perform with the Orchestra at the end of the week

Camp Details:
-Students must bring their own peanut free lunch, snacks, and drinks for Glee and Rock Band
-All camps are subject to a $25 non-refundable registration fee
-Withdrawals will not be accepted after June 15, 2013
-Before and after camp care is available from 7:30am until 6:00pm
-The Academy of Music will not tolerate bad behavior. All issues will result in phone call home, 3 phone calls may result in dismissal from the camp with no refund.
