Since 1994 the Oakville Academy of Music has been a leader in music education. We have taught music to thousands of students from young children though to adults in Oakville Ontario. We offer private music lessons on piano, guitar, voice, violin, ukulele, and drums at our convenient location at Speers Road and Fourth Line.

PIANO
The Academy of Music in Oakville offers private piano lessons for children age 4 and up or adults of all ages and levels.
GUITAR
Our guitar lessons at The Academy of Music in Oakville combine traditional guitar lessons with the fun of learning what you really want on the guitar.
UKULELE
Ukulele lessons for children through to adults of all ages. The ukulele is such a great instrument to start on!
DRUMS (6+)
Our drum instructors teach pop, rock, metal, jazz, funk, blues and many other drum styles.
VIOLIN (5+)
Core principles are emphasized through solid violin programs, starting with the fundamentals and developing more advanced techniques
VOICE/SINGING
The Academy of Music in Oakville offers private voice and singing lessons for children age 7 and up or adults of all ages and levels. If you have always wanted to be a better rock, pop, country, jazz, gospel, or R&B singer we have the right vocal teachers for you!

HIGHLY QUALIFIED TEACHING STAFF
Our music teachers have received their education from prestigious institutions such as York University, Western University, Humber College, Mohawk College, and the University of Toronto. Many of our instructors have gone on performance tours of Canada and the US, and have years of professional performance and teaching experience. In addition to their teaching credentials, our teachers have warm personalities, are extremely friendly and strive to get to know each student and their parent on a personal level.
FAMILY SAFETY PLAN
Every parent is concerned about their children’s safety and well-being. The Academy of Music has invested thousands of dollars in our “5-Point Family Safety Plan” which helps parents ease their minds while their kids are at their music lessons. Our “5-Point Family Safety Plan” consists of:
• Every music lesson room has a video/security camera with viewing monitors in the lobby.
• Observation windows in every music teaching room
• Teaching faculty must have a current RCMP vulnerable sector police check.
• Open Door Policy. Parents are welcome to sit in on any lesson, any time.
• Office staff is on duty every day.

THE MUSICAL LADDER SYSTEM
We are the only music school in Oakville that gives their students the opportunity to earn special colour wristband bracelets (kids and teens love them!), trophies AND certificates for passing musical tests. Do other schools offer prizes and certificates? A few. But none of them inspire their students by giving them full colour, really cool “Musical Ladder” wristbands that they can show off to their friends. The Musical Ladder is our unique method of music education that you can only get here.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN OUR COMMUNITY
Through various Academy of Music programs we have raised over $30,000 to date for Food4Kids Halton. We do this through our music recital fundraisers and events. Food4Kids provides packages of healthy food for kids aged 4-14 years with limited or no access to food each weekend. Packages of healthy food are prepared by volunteers and delivered to schools each Friday to ensure children have nourishment over the weekend.

FREE MUSIC RECITALS TWICE A YEAR
Every parent just wants to know how their child is doing and if they are really progressing. The best way for a parent to understand if their investment in lessons is really worth it, is to have their child participate in a recital.
In April and December many of our students choose to perform in our biannual recitals. We hold these at a beautiful church with a grand piano, and all the equipment necessary to make you sound great. The recitals are held right here in Oakville so you don’t have to travel for a world class recital experience.
For our students these recitals are free and unlike many schools in Oakville we do not charge for recital participation or admission fees.

PROFESSIONAL OFFICE STAFF TO SERVE YOU
We are the only music school in Oakville that offers full time professional customer service for their students seven days a week. You can call, text, email, or Facebook Message all your music lesson questions and we’ll be there when you need us.
You are welcome to sit in and observe your child’s lessons at any time. If you prefer, you can wait in our comfortable lobby and enjoy personal time.

Our rooms are stocked with everything you need for music lessons, including amps, keyboards, pianos, monitors, and more. All you need to bring is your instrument. We have spent thousands of dollars on our studio to provide the best music lesson experience possible.

MONTH TO MONTH MUSIC LESSONS
The Academy does not require full semester registration for lessons. Every student here is on a month-to-month basis.
