Award Winning Students at Funfest 2015!

On Sunday July 19 many of our students journeyed to Niagara on the Lake to compete with 7 other music schools from Southern Ontario and the results were astounding!  Funfest is an annual music competition hosted by the Ontario Music Teachers Guild.  We are the only music school in Oakville and Georgetown with OMTG membership. Congratulations everyone, we are very proud of your accomplishments.  You all worked very hard preparing for the festival and your many awards prove it.  Our students won 23 medals!  13 Gold, 4 Silver, and 5 Bronze.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2 New Benefits of being an Academy Student

We are always looking for ways to improve your music lesson experience and as such we are adding two great new benefits to our school.

Free Music Recitals
Both of our annual recitals will now be completely free for the performers and audience.  You may bring anyone you like (parents, grandparents, siblings, and friends), all at no charge to you!

Picture Day
In April 2016 all students will be welcome to come and have a professional picture taken with their instrument at no cost.  We will print a free 4×6 for every family.

Is YOUR Teacher Sold Out?

Many of our teachers have sold out between the hours 4 pm – 8 pm. If you need a schedule change or would like to be added to a waiting list for a particular teacher, day or time, please contact our office and we can add you to the waiting list. There are still limited lesson spots available. To inquire about openings for September send an e-mail to [email protected] or call the office.

 

NOTE: We experience a huge influx of new students from August 15 – 31. Please don’t wait to schedule your lessons.

Pet of the Month – Max

Every month we will feature another pet. Send us pictures of you and your pets and we’ll feature them on Facebook or our newsletter. Email a picture of your pet with a short description and we will feature them in our newsletters and Facebook page!

Here is Max, my daughter’s dog. He is my best buddy as I need to dog-sit him quite often. He just turned 5 on July 15. This summer, I participated in a world walking challenge and Max has followed me on several walks. On some days, he has walked up to 12 Km. which is very good for an 8 lbs. dog and he never complains. He also has to endure listening to my violin practices every day when I look after him and he doesn’t bark or doesn’t hide in another room when I do so. I wonder what he would say if he could talk.
