OAKVILLE CELTIC FIDDLE ORCHESTRA PLANS TO RAISE $2,500 FOR FOOD4KIDS HALTON

Most of you already know that we offer music lessons on all the most popular instruments. What you may not know is that we also run the largest Celtic fiddle orchestra in Ontario! The 40+ member “Oakville Celtic Fiddle Orchestra” was created 10 years ago by Academy Director James Franczek (the bald guy in the middle). In addition to the Oakvile orchestra he also founded the Georgetown Celtic Fiddle Orchestra and recently amalgamated the two groups. The objective was to bring local amateur musicians together to learn and perform music in the Celtic tradition. We perform 2 annual concerts each year (Spring and Christmas) with the proceeds benefiting children in our community. Over the past 10 years the orchestras have provided well over $20,000 worth of scholarships to our community.

This year we have decided to give all the concert proceeds to Food4Kids Halton. Our goal is to raise $2,500 at the Christmas concert. Food4Kids provides packages of healthy food for kids aged 5-14 years with limited or no access to food each weekend. Packages of healthy food are prepared by volunteers and delivered to schools each Friday to ensure children have nourishment over the weekend.

Our 9th Annual Christmas Concert is on Saturday December 3rd at 7pm at St. Cuthbert’s Anglican Church in Oakville. Tickets are currently available but will sell out fast. Anyone interested in tickets or to donate to Food4Kids can call the Academy office (The phone numbers are listed below). Learn more about Food4Kids at www.food4kids.ca.

WIN 2 DAYS AND ONE NIGHT AT GREAT WOLF LODGE!
Every few months we have a cool new referral contest with awesome prizes. Our current contest runs from August , 2016 – November 30, 2016 and the prize is… “A ONE NIGHT STAY AT GREAT WOLF LODGE VALUED AT $400!”

How do I enter? It’s easy!
Just tell your friends about the Academy and how much you love your lessons. If any of your friends sign up THEY will get a FREE $25 registration, YOU will get $25 off your next month of lessons, and BOTH families will be entered into the referral contest to win two days and one night stay at Great Wolf Lodge valued at $400!.

Not a student ? No problem! Just make sure your friend tells us about you when they register and we’ll enter you into the draw.

Is YOUR Teacher Sold Out?

Many of our teachers have sold out between the hours 4 pm – 8 pm. If you need a schedule change or would like to be
added to a waiting list for a particular teacher, day or time, please contact our office and we can add you to the waiting list. There are still limited lesson spots available. This is a partial list, to inquire about openings for December please e-mail or call the office.
