Video Update Transcription

Hello there everyone! My name is James. I am the director for the academy of music and this is Tanya the manager.  We have this of course is our video update, we have a whole bunch of really cool stuff so you will want to pay close attention.  First thing we have two really cool things happening in the summer and then in October.  I know it’s a long way away.  Summertime we’re doing a Disney concert,you can play anything from any Disney and wear costumes. we’ll have cool prizes.  And on the costume idea we’re going to have a really fun Halloween party on October 24th! So Tanya, important dates?  We are closed for March Break, so closes for lessons from the 16th of March and we’re back open again on the 23rd. At our recitals in November in December we asked for donations for food for kids Halton. We got over 800 dollars that we were able to send to the organization, awesome!

Let’s go ahead and pick the winner for our “did you watch the video contest”.

While she’s doing that, we had a concert in Mountain View residents in Georgetown and that went really well we have another seniors home performance available on the 30th of January for Oakville at Trafalgar Lodge.  If you have not signed up plese do so.  And the contest?  Go ahead. Music Student of the Month Oakville

So, this is Vivian, Vivian is our student of the month of for January! Congratulations Vivian! “Tank you”.  How old are you? “11”. Okay and how long have you been taking music lessons? “Almost 4 Years”. Wow!  Okay and this is a weird question but what instrument do you play?  “Guitar”.  What’s your favorite song to play or sing to?  “Count on Me”.  Okay and what do you like most about your teacher Ryan? “That he’s funny and kind” That’s excellent, now Vivian if you could tell somebody who’s thinking about taking music

lessons anything at all what would you like to tell them?  “That to never give up, and that some days that you might not want to play whatever instrument but it’s fine because those days happen you just have to fight through it”.  That’s absolutely true and that’s very good advice! well thank you very much Vivian.  Enjoy your trophy and your student of the month and you never know you might get nominated again by Ryan.
